A later, quick work, the Crimson Girl was a prototype for many crimson girls to come. It was done in 1996, and is one of the few drawings where I completed a background.

The Demon was a drawing that eventually went into publication in my high school. The armor designs came primarily from a New Mutant female witch, but there were some DiTerlizzi influences. And of course, it was done completely in my own style.
Done in the early spring of 1995, I was in the 11th grade. It was a very good year. At the time I was still heavily involved in gaining attention by working with heavy detail, and this was, for a while, what I considered my masterpiece, second only to the racer.

Corinthian was an elven fighter mage in a Forgotten Realms campaign. Aside from Vincent, I never got around to draw the other characters of the party. My character, Vincent, always had a soft spot for this elitist moon elf. He was a valiant bladesinger, but also willing to befriend humans. Vincent, my burly human ranger, was a friend whom he felt a kinship for. His nickname for Vincent was an elven word which in common meant "Lumberjack."
We met during the Time of Troubles. After saving the world, we spent 13 years in stasis, reawakened by a stroke of luck. During a daring foray into a Githyanki stronghold, we were swarmed by over 100 Githyanki warriors. The force was overwhelming, Corinthian alone held off a hundred of the astral beings, killing 30 of the lethal warriors before he was taken. This is a depiction of his final blaze of glory, a sacrifice that allowed the rest of us to escape. A few years later, Vincent defeated a powerful avatar and earned a wish, which he used to bring his old friend back to the living.

The racer was originally a drawing for a friend that I did at summer camp in 1994. It is one of my pride and joy drawings, something I never tire to look at.
The young girl in the fore is an android. She is massively strong and very intelligent and quick, but has severe social deficiencies. She is debilitatingly shy. She pilots a supersonic low-flying jet racer for sporting events. The worst pilots never make it to the finish line.
